Construction and Function
The FUJILOK U-NUT is comprises of a nut and stainless steel function ring spring. The friction ring is attached to the top face of the nut by crimping.

A stress P is produced by the spring effect of the stainless steel friction ring coming into contact with the screw thread as shown in the illustration. The P and its reaction force P' press strongly against the screw threads to produce a frictional torque (prevailing torque) above The prevailing prevents the turning of the screw,generation an excellent locking effect.

The FINE U-NUT is a one piece item where the locking function is performed by a spring peened into the top of the nut. In use the spring bears on the flank of the shaft thread with force .P generating reaction force P'in the screw threads with a resulting high friction torque (prevailing torque). The nut therefore remains locked in position.

Twin FU-nut
Construction and function
The TWIN FU-NUT has two friction rings and a spacer which are secured to the upper surface of the nut, as shown above. The two friction rings are arranged so that stress P generated by the spring action and the reaction P' act symmetrically about the shaft centre. This arrangement ensures an even contact force F around the contact face.
