PHOENIX BEARINGS, U.K.

Based in Tewkesbury, England, Phoenix Bearings continue the production of high quality ball and roller bearing products started by Blackwell Bearings over 50 years ago. Phoenix Bearings are a wholly British owned and managed company supplying bearings to all areas of industry from diamond mines, to steel mills.

Phoenix Bearings export to over 50 countries. With all manufacturing on one site, using only the finest grade materials, Phoenix Bearings are ISO 9001 registered for the design and production of ball and roller bearings -- ensuring that all products are subject to the most rigorous quality regimes.
Phoenix

Phoenix Bearings have established a reputation for flexible production, tailored to customer's requirements, with short lead times. The extensive knowledge base at Phoenix about the applications for their products, enables a better understanding of customer's requirements ensuring that the right bearing is specified for each job. This is why Phoenix Bearings are approved suppliers to Corus (British Steel), David Brown Gears, Renold Gears, Simon Machinery, and Railcare / Scottish Power, and many other household names.

Looking to the future Phoenix Bearings are continually investing in modern technology to improve their manufacturing processes and to remain competitive in a changing world. As other manufacturers see a decline in volume, their manufacturing batches become more infrequent, which causes irregular supply to the market, Phoenix's flexibility in manufacturing and stock holding is able to ensure continuity of supply to that market.

SPECIAL BEARINGS FOR CORRUGATED/PAPER INDUSTRY
Phoenix Bearings have developed a complete range of special precision bearing products designed, manufactured, and heat stabilized to operate at high temperature continuously at the high speeds demanded by the corrugated paper and board industries. In addition to the bearings for the corrugator rolls, Phoenix Bearings manufacture standard and special bearings for all of the ancillary equipment associated with the corrugating plants including: Slotters, Gluers, and Stitchers. The entire range of product manufactured for this industry is covered by Phoenix Bearings Internationally recognized quality accreditation.

Phoenix

PHOENIX bearings specifically manufacture bearings for Corrugated / Paper Industry, Quarrying and Crushing Industry, Steel/Rolling Mills, and other special applications, where very high degree of accuracy, tolerance and endurance is essential.

Phoenix Bearings range of Ball and Roller bearings start at 2-3/4 inch bore and 100mm bore, increasing to over 1 metre diameter.  Phoenix manufactures and stock the standard ranges shown below and have the capabilities to manufacture the more obscure variations of these types. In addition Phoenix can design / manufacture obsolete / special bearings to order.

Phoenix

Phoenix manufactures a large range of bearings used in steel manufacturing plants and the associated heavy engineering industries. These bearings are used in machinery supplied by companies such as Demag, and Davy Engineering. End users include British Steel, ISCOR (South Africa), Tata (India), B.H.P. (Australia), Thyssen (Germany) and other major steel producers around the world. Typical applications include heavy roller chain and roller conveyor systems. For maximum load carrying capacity full complement bearings are produced with mechanical labyrinths to prevent ingress of contaminants.

Multi row cylindrical roller bearings are produced for rod mill applications.

For applications requiring maximum load carrying characteristics full complement bearings are produces with a mechanical labyrinth seal to prevent dirt ingress.

Phoenix's range includes high quality bearings for use in large industrial gearboxes, electric motors, clutches and couplings.
